It's open!!!

I have read about it and it is finally here!

I cannot wait to try it! The Boiler Room is a collaboration between Chef Paul Kulik and the Mercers, the visionaries behind the Old Market arts and dining district in Omaha. They have even brought in Master Sommelier and Nebraska native Jesse Becker to add to the dining experience. Most recently Jesse comes from our favorite Boulder restaurant (and James Beard Award winning) Frasca where he spent two years with owner and Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey.

When you experience a meal as we did one evening at Frasca, it changes how you think about food. It was Bobby Stucky himself who guided us through the daunting thick bound wine "book" (and he even fished out Ran's coat for us at the end of the evening!) and course after course our meal kept getting better. The wine brought out the flavors of each dish. You appreciated the local ingredients and the time spent and the efforts behind each artful creation. So I have high hopes for the French influenced eatery - and what a treat to have one of only 160 Master Sommoliers in the WORLD here in Omaha.

Bon appetit!
